Her varied career has included teaching pottery, exploring the fiber arts, teaching university-level art appreciation and various education positions in several museums. Her varied and colorful resume is the result of sixteen moves in twenty-three years, spending six years living abroad. Interest in pottery and design quickly expanded to fiber-related projects and ideas. What began as a fascination with historical looms and their function led to workshops and classes in weaving. For the last six years, her primary focus has been on traditional weaving techniques, with an added interest in traditional tapestry weaving.
