Member Since: 2006 City: State Road State: North Carolina County: Surry County, NC Bio: I have lived in the Elkin-Jonesville area all my life. In 1980, I met my husband, Arnold, and began working with him at White's Dental Lab until pottery became full time for me. With complete support from my husband, I spent much of my time learning and developing my skills. It was not long before we were setting up our own studio. We now sell pottery from the mountains to the coast of North Carolina. We go to several shows and have work at Yadkin Valley Craft Guild in Elkin, Wilkestone in North Wilkesboro and at Core Sound Waterfowl Museum Gift Shop at Harker's Island, North Carolina. Before getting into pottery, we spent most of our time working with and showing quarterhorses. My love for horses is shown in a lot of my works on which I hand paint the horses with glaze. I also do commissioned pieces of customers' horses. I have served on the Board of Directors at Foothills Arts Council for six years, the last year as Vice President of Operations. Also, I am a founding member of the Yadkin Valley Craft Guild.
